I've been working on Christmas cards for the Splitcoast Challenge but Halloween day doesn't seem like the right day to post those, so I thought I'd show you a little project originally done for our craft show display which is now in my living room.
At the beginning of fall, I had the idea to add some balsa wood roses in Halloween colors to our craft show display. I knew I didn't have quite the right vase for it, but I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. It should have something like an urn shape and possibly even two handles, again, like an urn to make it creepy.
When I found this vase (and forgot to take a before picture - *smacks forehead*) it was white, the three large roses were pale pink with pale green leaves and covered in chunky glitter and the rim had gold edging - but it was the right shape, it had two handles and it was $1.99; I knew it would be perfect.
A little flat black spray paint and voila, a vase fit for Halloween.Hope you have a fun and spooky day!
Anna
