Another Peek in The Baby Box for VTT

Hi All,

I can't believe it's that time already.  Another week of fun finds at Vintage Thingie Thursday hosted by Suzanne at Coloradolady.

Here at Cottage 6 its time for another peek inside The Baby Box, although I must tell you that I held back a handful of things.  I hadn't realized until I took them out to photograph them that a few things are starting to yellow and need a little care.  And I did decide to hold a few things for future posts.

The first item from the box is a bed jacket that was passed down to my mother.  She wore it in the hospital after I was born.  I always marvel at how small it is.

 

And it has such lovely details.

Here's my mother wearing it in the hospital.  Unfortunately, the picture is overexposed, so you can barely tell its the same jacket, but you get the idea.

This little sweater is so delicate and a lovely shade of yellow.  It was made by someone as a baby gift, but we can't remember who now.

I don't seem to have been photographed wearing the bonnet; surprising since my dad had a camera glued to his hands through most of my childhood.

Here's one for the summertime.  Tennis anyone?

This was a gift from my paternal grandparents.  I confirmed that with my mother, but I was pretty sure.  It is just so them.

And here I am with my maternal grandfather modeling my outfit on the bar at the Golf & Curling Club.  Here I've accessorized the ensemble with my teething necklace.

And finally, here are some lovely and delicate bonnets that belonged to my mother.

This one is angora, and is the one of the three she remembers.  It has wire around the brim to help keep its shape.

 

This one is just so sweet.

I hope you've enjoyed going through this box with me.
